Coaching Staff

	Coach Terry O'Hare Terry O’Hare is the founder and coach of the Lake Highlands Lacrosse Association and the RISD D III High School lacrosse team.  Lacrosse did not exist in Lake Highlands in 2005 when his oldest boy wanted to give the sport a try, so he decided start a program.
Biographical information Mr. O’Hare grew up on Long Island, New York and played High School lacrosse at Walt Whitman HS in the early to mid-seventies. He went on to play some club lacrosse at the University of Kentucky during his freshman year. When not working to keep these two organizations afloat, he practices petroleum geology in search of oil and gas.

	Coach Stuart Smith Coach Smith joined the Lake Highlands Lacrosse Association after its first year to help build the sport of lacrosse in our community.  Having been involved with the sport before moving to the area, this was an ideal way for him to help grow the sport in Texas.
Biographical information Myers Park H.S.-Charlotte, N.C. Helped start the high school lacrosse team his senior year when there were only five teams in the state.  That team has excelled over the last twenty years and there are now over eighty teams playing in North Carolina. University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, N.C. Club lacrosse-Attack and goalie Men’s Club Team-Charlotte, N.C.

Coach Chris Zupa Chris played college lacrosse at Army and was a face off specialist. He has joined the Lake Highlands Lacrosse staff after a successful six year term as an assistant for the Plano West High School team. He will be an assistant coach on the RISD High School team and will also help on skills development for the youth teams

Biographical information Glen Cove H.S. - Glen Cove, N.Y.  Midfield / Face-Off Specialist, All League and Most Valuable Player - Senior Year Glen Cove High School Hall of Fame   United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y Awarded Varsity Letter all fours years at West Point Competed in Division I NCAA tournament all fours years at West Point   Assistant Coach - Plano West Lacrosse Association (2003-2008) 2005 Division II State Champions

		Coach Ken Harris Joined the Lake Highlands Lacrosse Association last year and will coach the younger boys 3/4, 1/2 (once a team is available). He will also assist with the 5/6 and 7/8 teams as needed.
Biographical information Ken grew up in West Texas deprived of LAX until he was briefly introduced to this great sport while attending Texas A&M.  Ken continues to play men’s club LAX in Dallas and has done so for the last 6 years. Previous coaching experience: Lacrosse - Mustang Lacrosse League, Football and Baseball teams - through SVAA, Soccer - through Lake Highlands Soccer Association.
